SINGAPORE (May 29): China Everbright Water announced Monday that it has secured a contract for the upgrading of the Liaoning Dalian Lvshun Bailanzi Waste Water Treatment Project.

Total investment for the Bailanzi upgrading project is an estimated RMB 42 million (S$8.5 million).

The upgrading work will see the water discharge upgraded to the National Grade 1A Standard, from the current National Grade 1B Standard.

In addition, Everbright Water says the company will effect a water tariff hike following the completion of the upgrading work and the commencement of the project’s operation.

The upgrading work, which is currently underway, is expected to be completed by the end of 2017.

“We will seize the opportunity to further strengthen our project management capability, raise the discharge standards of our projects, improve the collection of receivables, and also actively expand our business in the local market,” says An Xuesong, executive director and CEO of Everbright Water.

Shares of China Everbright Water closed flat at 47 Singapore cents on Monday.
