KUALA LUMPUR (June 6): Bina Puri Holdings Bhd is looking to launch the next phase of two projects in the state of Pahang, namely the Phase 2 of Kuantan Waterfront Resort City (KWRC), an approximately 500-acre integrated development near the Pahang state capital and the Phase 3 of The Valley @ Bentong, a farmland and homestead development.

At KWRC, there will be a high-rise development with serviced apartments and shoplots, which will be soft-launched in the fourth quarter of 2021. It has a gross development value of RM200 million and construction will commence in January next year. The selling price is estimated to be at RM650 to RM750 per square foot (psf) as built-up ranges from 500 square feet to 1,000 square feet for the typical units. Bina Puri's group executive director Datuk Matthew Tee believes that Kuantan, although without many high-rise developments, will grow to embrace high-rise living considering how Phase 1 of KWRC, also a high-rise development, sold well and mostly acquired by locals.

The Valley @ Bentong is a 1,600-acre project, where on average one-acre plot of land is sold to buyers so they may build a holiday home and partake in a spot of hobby farming. Phases 1 and 2 of the project are 100% and 60% sold respectively, while its latest, Phase 3 with 202 plots, will be launched once all approvals are finalised. The selling price for Phase 3 starts from RM5.88 psf.

Tee reveals that infrastructure such as road and drainage, water supply, electricity, landscaping and 24-hour security surveillance were done by the developer. Additionally, a RM2 million clubhouse will be built for residents, by subscription, to use.
