KUALA LUMPUR: Bentley Kuala Lumpur is relocating its Bentley showroom at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur to the Etiqa Twins building in Jalan Pinang here next month in preparation for the arrival of Bentayga — Bentley’s all-new sport utility vehicle (SUV).

In a statement, Bentley Kuala Lumpur said the Bentley Gallery at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur was a unique platform for the company to not only unveil a series of new models over the years, but also provided its customers with an intimate access to the British luxury automotive brand.

“The [Bentley]  Gallery has been our home for the past eight years,” said Bentley Kuala Lumpur marketing and communications manager Andrew Wong.

“When Bentayga, Bentley’s all-new SUV was conceived, we saw the opportunity to refresh the Bentley showroom in preparation for its arrival,” he added.

To facilitate the relocation, the Bentley Gallery at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur will be closed for business from Aug 12, while the progressive moving in process to Etiqa Twins is scheduled to start next month, with its official opening planned for October.

The opening ceremony will see the introduction of Bentayga together with the limited edition GT Black Speed by Mulliner.

Wong said Bentayga is a definite game changer for Bentley as 70% of Bentayga customers are completely new to the company.

“So, it makes perfect sense for us to introduce this exciting model in an all-new environment, despite the temporary interruption in operations. The striking new showroom design will be bold and communicate Bentley’s brand values clearly, incorporating traditional craftsmanship in a contemporary space,” he added.

The new showroom will be operated by Bentley’s partner in Malaysia — Wearnes Automotive.

Wearnes Automotive regional managing director Gabor Csurgai said the new facility is already in its soft opening stage.
