KUALA LUMPUR: Association of Accredited Advertising Agents of Malaysia (4As) has appointed Andrew Lee (pic) as its vice-president (VP), replacing Irene Wong who has resigned citing her work commitments as the chief executive officer of Grey Group Malaysia as a reason.
Wong will continue to remain as a 4As council member.
In his new role, Lee will continue to promote the values of the 4As, as well as uplifting creativity, relevance and productivity.
In a statement yesterday, 4As said Lee has served on the 4As council for more than four years. He was the organising chairman of the Putra Brand Awards for the past two years, and will continue to serve in the same capacity this year.
Lee has been in the advertising industry for almost 30 years, and is the managing director of Havas Worldwide Kuala Lumpur. He is also the deputy chairman of the Advertising Standards Advisory (Asa) of Malaysia.
“Andrew is very conscientious, supportive, committed, and dedicated to the 4As, a valuable asset that makes him the right candidate for this role,” said 4As president Datuk Johnny Mun in the statement.
“He will also be integral to meeting the five objectives of the 4As working jointly with other council members,” Mun added.
The 4As, formed in 1971, encompasses more than 100 home-grown and international member agencies which are key players in Malaysia’s advertising industry.
