KL's burgeoning hospitality industry is welcoming a new player with the recently opened Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur, a welcome addition to the coterie of landmark hotels that surround the iconic Petronas Twin Towers.
The first Grand Hyatt property in Malaysia, the hotel is within easy reach of the entire KLCC development as well as the Golden Triangle shopping and entertainment district accessible by a covered sky-bridge that also connects to Pavilion KL.
Built with an eye for design, the hotel features several distinguished artistic touches. The lobby, for example, features a circular art piece inscribed with a Quranic verse that means a thousand dinars, as well as a stunning sculpture by local artist Abdul Multhalib Musa.
The journey of appreciation at Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur begins when you check in — all guests are immediately whisked to a lobby located on the highest floor of the property, so you can properly enjoy the stunning views it affords. You are then ushered to your choice of accommodation, which includes 370 guestrooms and 42 suites.
Catering to both business and leisure travellers alike, the guest rooms at the Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur boast larger than usual rooms, fitted with large windows that offer expansive views of the glittering city skyline.
All rooms are equipped with sizeable workstations and MP3 docking stations, while luxuriously appointed bathrooms feature fancy touches like a liquid crystal glass (LCG) enclosed cube complete with bath and rain shower.
Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur is set to introduce three new dining options to gourmands. THIRTY8, located on the top floor of the hotel, is a restaurant, wine bar and lounge that offers stunning views of the Petronas Twin Towers and the city. The restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, with a wide menu that includes a selection of steaks, Chinese seafood, sushi and sashimi.
JP teres, located on the ground floor, offers guests both indoor and outdoor dining areas with convenient street access. Surrounded by greenery and cleverly incorporated water features, the JP teres includes two private dining areas and is ideal for casual get-togethers and gatherings.
The restaurant offers a freshly prepared à la carte menu all day presenting the best of Malaysian cuisine from the restaurant's show kitchens.
Poolside is located on the second floor of the hotel, next to the outdoor swimming pool. This restaurant is an all-day al fresco dining option with a menu that offers simple and healthy international and local favourites. The restaurant has an extensive bar that serves fresh juices, smoothies and signature speciality iced teas.
The hotel also has a massive 3,300 sq m of exclusive meetings and events spaces consisting of six unique venues, and includes a never before seen concept in KL that emulates the feel of a chic event in a private home. Recreation facilities include a spa, a 24-hour fitness centre, an outdoor swimming pool, a steam room and a sauna.
Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur is located at the confluence of Jalan Pinang and Jalan P Ramlee, KL. For more information, visit kualalumpur.grand.hyatt.com or call (03) 2182 1234.
